Brrrrrr...... It's COLD Outside ! Winter coats are available free of charge in youth and adult sizes. We would love to provide coats to anyone who is in need of one as soon as possible. Please call the school at 966-8290 and speak with Mrs. Bromfield, Mr. Lynn, or Mrs. Mattocks. The coats have been cleaned, and some of them are brand new.
REQUEST FOR HELP: Mrs. Griffith is looking for someone to help maintain the Mind Joggers recognition posters in the library. Mind Joggers is a reading program which recognizes students who read books and complete comprehension quizzes about the books.
About four times a year, Mrs. Griffith prints out the point club levels students have achieved. The volunteer would compare the list to the wall in the library and let Mrs. Griffith know who needs a 50-point club sheet. The volunteer would also cut out and paste the sneakers on the wall to update the students' point clubs. This can be done at home and brought into school when finished.
Two wonderful students have already removed the ninth graders' sheets and reorganized the wall, so it looks pretty good at the moment; it just needs to be maintained. If you can help with this project, please contact Mrs. Griffith directly at mgriffith@mifflinburg.org. |
